First Periodic Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries
Note on reviews by Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland
The Commission announced in May 2009 that, if Scottish Ministers have made Orders subsequent to reviews by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland (LGBCS) of local authority boundaries prior to the Commission completing this review of Scottish Parliament boundaries, it intends to amend its constituency and region recommendations so that they continue to be co-terminous with these local authority boundaries where the Revised Recommendations and Further Recommendations for constituencies and Provisional Proposals for regions are already so co-terminous.
The LGBCS reviews concerned are:
- the boundary between East Dunbartonshire and Glasgow City Council areas at Princes Gate, Greenacres by Robroyston;
- the boundary between Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire Council areas at Cardowan by Stepps; and
- the boundary between Angus and Dundee City Council areas at Fithiebank.
Further information about those reviews is available from the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland website.
