11 December 2012 - Lord Woolman, Deputy Chairman of the Commission since January 2009, has been reappointed as our Deputy Chairman for a further 3 years, until 31 December 2015. This reappointment will allow him to see our current review of UK Parliament constituencies to a conclusion. A brief biographical note on Lord Woolman appears on the Commission section of this website.

8 November 2012 - Our public consultation on our Revised Proposals for constituencies ended yesterday. The Revised Proposals are part of our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies. We will now consider all comments made during the public consultation before drawing up our Final Recommendations for constituencies.

13 September 2012 - We have published our Revised Proposals for constituencies as part of our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies. The Revised Proposals are subject to an 8 week public consultation, from Thursday 13 September 2012 until Wednesday 7 November 2012.

12 July 2012 - We expect to publish our Revised Proposals for constituencies on Thursday 13 September 2012 as part of our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies. The Revised Proposals will be subject to an 8 week public consultation, which we expect will run until Wednesday 7 November 2012.

19 June 2012 - The Commission's Annual Report for 2011-12 is now available from the Publications section of this website, or it can be downloaded as a PDF file from here.

19 April 2012 - We have added our Corporate Plan 2012-2015 to the Publications section of this website.

19 April 2012 - We have completed the secondary consultation on our Initial Proposals in our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies. We will review all of the evidence received in response to our consultation on the Initial Proposals and will decide what changes to make to form our Revised Proposals. We expect to publish our Revised Proposals for public consultation in autumn 2012.

28 March 2012 - We are experiencing a technical problem with the consultation part of this website which means that you are not able to submit a comment for our secondary consultation through the website. The issue relates only to comments made during the secondary consultation period from 1 March to 28 March 2012, and only to those comments made through the website. Because of this technical problem, we will accept late remarks up until Monday 2 April 2012. Anyone who has commented during the secondary consultation period via our website but who has not yet received an acknowledgement, should email their comments to comments@scottishboundaries.gov.uk or send them to: Boundary Commission for Scotland, Thistle House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD.

1 March 2012 - We have started the secondary consultation period on our Initial Proposals in our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies. The secondary consultation will last until 28 March 2012.

24 January 2012 - We have submitted our Progress Report on the review to the Speaker of the House of Commons. The Progress Report is available from the Resources page for the Review.

11 January 2012 - The secondary consultation period on our Initial Proposals in our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies will last from 1 March to 28 March 2012. During the secondary consultation period you will be able to scrutinise and make remarks on all of the comments which we have received, and the transcripts of the Public Hearings which we held. After the secondary consultation period, we will develop our Revised Proposals for constituencies, which we expect to publish for an 8 week public consultation period in autumn 2012. In the meantime, you can continue to look at our Initial Proposals using the innovative interactive mapping consultation part of this site.

6 January 2012 - The consultation on our Initial Proposals in our Sixth Review of UK Parliament Constituencies ended on 4 January 2012. We will announce shortly our plans for the secondary consultation period when you will be able to scrutinise and make remarks on all of the comments which we have received.
